THE EXPERIENCE TO LIVE: This is a top package of adventure and culture in two full days! Think about it. You get to explore the wilderness on snowshoes on a two-day trip, rediscover the beauty of simple life at a cabin in the Arctic mountains or forest of Lapland, see the Northern lights if the forecasts are good, and immerse yourself in the Finnish culture of the great outdoors! So here is how it goes. The guide picks you up at your place in the morning on the first day. He provides all the gear you need for this two-day adventure. Then we have about a 1-hour road trip to get to the starting point of the trek. We equip ourselves with snowshoes. For this trek, everyone carries a backpack but the guide accepts sometimes to have one more in his sled if that helps. Often in the heart of Winter, our first trekking day ends under a starry sky and in the moonlight. If it's too dark we use headlamps which makes the journey even more adventurous! Later we arrive at the cabin in the wilderness where we will stay for the night. Located in the forest or on the top of the fells you get the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere in a quiet world. The guide starts a fire in the stove and lights up the candles. The dinner is prepared. After the meal, we get ready for the night. We have this opportunity to spend the whole night watching the auroras. Depending on their intensity you alternate some true peaceful moments by the fireplace inside the cabin and active moments outside watching the Northern lights dance over the forest or the fells. Moreover, the guide shares with you some amazing facts about the natural phenomena, assists you in taking pictures, or/and shares his own pictures with you afterward. After a short night, we wake up for a new day. Breakfast is served. Then we get ready to have our second day of trekking and exploring the beautiful Lappish wilderness. We get back to the vehicle and drive back to your place. This program ends in the late afternoon.

THE EXPERIENCE TO LIVE: A Northern lights show is a celebration of the magnificence of nature. There's no better way to enter into that atmosphere of a celebration than extending the magic of an Arctic night with a meal shared in an authentic Lappish hut located deep in nature away from the crowds and the beaten spots of tourism. After a short hike with lanterns lighting up our path, we arrive at a hut nested in the fells or by a lake. The guide starts a fire in the fireplace, arranges candles, unrolls reindeer carpets and blankets, and prepares a delicious dinner made of local and mainly organic products. As an extra dessert from time to time, we go out and observe the sky hoping to wonder at the amazing auroras. THE EXPERIENCE TO LIVE: There's no secret. You increase your chances of seeing the Northern lights when you're ready to save several hours of your night for it. Good news! Your guide doesn't have a bedtime at 10:30 pm. He picks you up at your place in the evening and takes you to one or several of his favorite spots deep in nature or in the countryside. Depending on the forecast especially if the phenomena is uncertain we may have a longer car ride and visit other places along the way. The guide often selects a spot where a hut or wilderness cabin can welcome and keep us warm when it's needed. Then we take the time to enjoy the special atmosphere of silence, wilderness, and those long sparkling Nordic nights. We treat ourselves with of a hot blueberry soup sipped by the fireplace and times outside wondering at the starry sky and the dance of the Northern lights. Also, the guide shares with you some amazing facts about this incredible natural show, assists you in taking pictures, or/and shares his pictures with you afterward. Upon request if you like a more dynamic tour and for the same price you may get to see the auroras while having a hike or a trip with snowshoes on.
