DAY 1:
Topo: 4 km / 100 m elevation gain
- Welcome to Kittilä in Finnish Lapland!
- The adventure starts with a beautiful 2h30 road trip on the "highways of the Far North". We drive Northwest along the river border of Sweden and stop at the most remarkable point of views.
- We arrive at the guesthouse and set up in one of the cottages.
- We prepare the gear and meals for the trek.
- We have an introductive dinner in a lovely Lappish hut that we get to after a two kilometers hike.
- Relaxing time at the cottage: sauna.
- Good night!
DAY 2:
Topo: 16 km / 200 m elevation gain
- Breakfast and preparation for departure
- The beginning of our adventure elevates into a forest of mountain birch trees. After about 4 km the view opens up on the first great open spaces of that nature reserve we're going to explore for the next three days. As we move through the immensity of the tundra we can hear the song of the solitary dotterel and the melody of the creeks. Then our big world narrows itself a bit and we discover the remoteness of a lake and a cabin facing the dark cliffs and rocky slopes of (...)
- We set up and enjoy the coziness of that wilderness shelter. Relaxing time.
- Dinner
- Good night!
DAY 3:
Topo: 8 km / 200 m elevation gain

- Dinner.
- Good night!
DAY 4:
Topo: 16 km / 250 m elevation gain
- Breakfast and preparation for the day
- For this third day we leave early and climb to higher grounds to follow a route that goes from one fell to another. We get a beautiful different perspective on the valley we hiked on the first day. We also discover hidden small lakes, eat our lunch on the shores of one of them, and imagine the paths that go North and towards those high mountains we can see in distance.
- In the end of afternoon we get back to the vehicle. We drive back to Kittilä.
- You arrive at the guesthouse and set up in one of its bedrooms.
- Gear reviewing.
- You have the rest of the evening free.
